To sign in and sign out of your Ancestry account from Family Tree Maker (FTM), here are the steps for both actions:

Sign In to Your Ancestry Account in FTM
- Open Family Tree Maker on your computer.
- In the top-right corner of the window, look for the green leaf icon or the Ancestry icon.
- Click on the Ancestry icon, and a drop-down menu should appear.
- Select Log In to Ancestry.
- Enter your Ancestry username (email) and password in the sign-in window.
- Click Sign In.
- You should now be connected to your Ancestry account. The green leaf icon will remain highlighted when signed in.
Sign Out of Your Ancestry Account in FTM
- Open Family Tree Maker.
- In the top-right corner, click the green leaf icon or Ancestry icon.
- From the drop-down menu, choose Log Out of Ancestry.
- This will sign you out of your Ancestry account, and the green leaf icon will be dimmed, indicating that you are logged out.
Signing In/Out via the Ancestry Website
If you need to sign in or sign out directly on the Ancestry website:
- Sign In:
- Go to Ancestry.
- Click the Sign In button at the top-right of the page.
- Enter your username/email and password, then click Sign In.
- Sign Out:
- After signing in, click on your username or the Account icon in the top-right.
- From the drop-down menu, select Sign Out.
