Description
Flashing is used to prevent water from entering the building at joints and seams, ensuring weatherproofing. Trim is used for aesthetics and finishing, covering the edges of roof and wall panels. The ridge cap is a specialized trim that covers the ridge of the roof where two roof slopes meet. Eave trim is used to finish the edge of the roof at the eaves. Corner trim is used to finish the corners of the building’s walls and adds structural integrity to these areas. While not a part of the building’s structure, gutter systems are often included as secondary components to manage rainwater runoff and protect the building’s foundation.
