Our story begins in Manjakkudi, the birthplace of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati who had been the inspiration and driving force behind the origins of Spirit of the Earth. On August 2012 the first 3 varieties were sown by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati with the belief and prayer to give back to Mother Earth.
At our artisanal farm at Manjakudi, over 289 heirloom varieties from across India have been carefully Preserved, Conserved, Researched and Cultivated for you to explore. From the farm to the kitchen and finally to your dining table, we are germinating a whole new revolution of bringing back traditional rice varieties of India.
