The 'Unified Pension Scheme' (UPS) was launched

   It has been announced that the Unified Pension Scheme will be implemented by the Central Government in the Central Cabinet meeting held on 24.08.2024 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced that this new 'Integrated Pension Scheme' will be implemented from April 1, 2025.The 'Unified Pension Scheme' assures government employees a monthly benefit of 50% of their last drawn salary for life.This new pension scheme will be implemented for about 23 lakh employees (all government employees) who joined the Central Government since January 2004.This new UPS scheme will be implemented by the central government so that central government employees can directly benefit from this UPS.
