I recently went to the Southwest Airlines Derby Office to ask about a possible flight cancellation and to check on rebooking possibilities. The venue was terrific—easy to locate and there was ample parking. I entered, and while it was a bit congested, the personnel was prompt to notice my arrival. What particularly impressed me was the courtesy of the agent who helped me. She was very friendly and took the time to explain all my choices in a clear manner. She even went through a couple of different rebooking scenarios with me, which made me feel like she actually cared about getting me the best solution possible. The only negative aspect of my visit was the wait. I waited for approximately 40 minutes to be seen, and though the staff were doing their best to attend to all the people, I couldn't help but feel a bit irked at the wait. Perhaps they could streamline service better when it is busier. That being said, once I reached the counter, the experience was great. I received the information I required, and rebooking was done with ease. I felt reassured by my travel arrangements and valued how Southwest's staff managed the issue.
