I had previously heard positive things about Delta Airlines Office in Beirut and was looking forward to seeing their Beirut office when I experienced an issue with my booking. My experience, however, was not up to par, and I ended up leaving there frustrated and disappointed. The office itself was difficult to locate; it's not very well-marked, and I spent some time getting the exact address. When I finally got there, I was greeted by one of the employees who wasn't very friendly. I had to tell them my problem a couple of times before they even appeared to understand what I needed assistance with. It didn't seem like they were completely engaged, and I had to wait a little too long for the employee to bring up the information that they needed. I felt somewhat dismissed, particularly as there were not that many customers present at the time. When they finally did assist me, it was obvious that they were having a problem figuring it out. The individual I was talking to wasn't very knowledgeable about the booking process and had to call over a coworker for help. It was a very time-consuming resolution and frustrating to deal with. They didn't provide any type of compensation or even an apology for the inconvenience. Another complaint was that the office was extremely small and cramped. There were not many chairs, and the air conditioning system was not functioning properly, making the wait unbearable. Overall, this experience made me wonder if Delta's Beirut branch was undermanned and lacking in the services that usually pass for Delta. Short of saying that Delta Airlines is a wonderful airline, the Beirut office doesn't quite have the level of service that you would expect. I hope that they can make an effort to improve their customer service and efficiency.
