I had a general question regarding my flight from Lagos to Atlanta and thought I would drop by the Delta Airlines Lagos Office to talk to someone face-to-face. I was anticipating the usual wait and hurried conversations, but this office really went above and beyond my expectations. Firstly, they are situated at a very good location on Ozumba Mbadiwe, there is clear indication and proper security. I came in mid-morning and the office was neither too empty nor too full. I was allocated a ticket and did not take long to attend to me. What impressed me right away is how organized and tidy the office was. Even the waiting lounge was cozy with water dispensing machines for visitors. I chatted with one of the staff members, Vivian, who was very courteous and friendly. I inquired about seat upgrades, additional baggage allowance, and boarding procedures for older passengers (my mom was traveling with me). Vivian went out of her way to explain everything slowly and even took the time to show me pictures of the plane's layout so I could select seats that would be more convenient for my mom. You don't normally find airline personnel in Nigeria who treat you as if you count, even when you aren't flying business class. The Delta Lagos crew treated me like a VIP. I've flown on other international airlines, but the customer service of Delta here is totally unparalleled. I will be using them for my future travels for sure.
