Meetero is a social media for dating that brings equal opportunities for both genders and does not favor one over the other. Initially designed to help travelers and locals to get in touch exchange cultures, it can be used for any purpose you want.

Almost all dating sites are location based, they favor women over men and they are exclusively focused to good-looking people finding love. Meetero changed all this. It was designed to help travelers to get in touch with locals anywhere but also to find nearby people, it is not focused only on people's appearance and you are not forced to use it to find love: your whole profile is valued and it's more prominent than just your pictures and you can use Meetero to just chat or even to find professional collaboration. It is more social involved than a simple dating site. Men are not forced to get a women's approval in order to contact them and, at the same time, we discourage time wasters, rude and unserious guys, so women will feel more confortable and men will have less competence. Achieving that over the time is one of our commercial secrets. 

Meetero does what it was designed for: help people to find love, friendship or collaboration and helping them to be successful in this. 

We have built Meetero in Python, using the Django framework. Python was choosen because if its wide support of artificial intelligence, a key feature we want to use to help people to be successful even more.

The main challenges was to avoid fake profiles and manage to have more women than men by rewarding only serious and really engaged men. This was a challenge because is a factor quite difficult to put in practice but finally we figured out a way to make it. This is maybe the biggest challenge we have faced. 

Accomplishments that I'm proud of: I'm particularly proud about the way our multiple ranking systems has been thinked and designed: participation rank, popularity rank, affinity rank and reputation rank, all combined together to bring to the user the best possible search results. A typical user will get search results of people that are more likely to like him/her, that are active enough to interact with him/her, that have a reasonable popularity in the platform and, at the same time, that have an acceptable grade of reputation in the app.

I learned a lot of things in this project. First of all I become a better Python developer, a better software designer/engineer and a better problem solver. I also learned, directly in the field, many valuable concepts of artificial intelligence and modern marketing strategies. I'm really proud of these things and others.

What's next for Meetero.com? Much has to be done yet. First our multiple ranking systems are not finished yet. Our success formulas described above can't still be fully applied yet because we still have not enough users. We also have to invest to more server resources as the product grows and, to achieve all the mentioned goals, we still have a lot to do. But we will do it, this project will not stop. We took into consideration old but effective ideas and put them in a completely new perspective, bringing the dating concept to the next level.

I hope we will achieve this fully.
