I got to fly with Avelo Airlines SJU Terminal out of Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport when I was in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the trip was far better than I had anticipated. Being accustomed to traveling through bigger, busier airports, SJU felt surprisingly easy to handle. I was pleasantly impressed by how simple it was to locate Avelo's check-in facility, especially because I arrived two hours prior to my departure, allowing myself plenty of time.

The Avelo staff at the counter were welcoming and efficient. The check-in process was quick, and they made sure I had everything I needed before heading to security. That personal touch made the experience feel a lot more human, even though Avelo is considered a budget airline. Once past security—which was a smooth process—the terminal itself was clean and calm. There were charging stations, snack options, and enough seating to wait comfortably for boarding.

Boarding was straightforward, with clear announcements and no confusion at the gate. The crew was friendly, and the plane was clean and well-kept. The flight departed on time, which I really appreciated, especially since delays are so common nowadays. Overall, my experience with Avelo Airlines at the SJU terminal was smooth, friendly, and stress-free. I’d definitely fly with them again.
