Inactivated Vaccine

The live attenuated vaccines represent the foundational approach to vaccine development. French microbiologist Louis Pasteur developed the first attenuated live vaccine for rabies which uses a preparation method that remains in use currently. Live attenuated vaccines modify pathogenic microorganisms to decrease their virulence while enabling them to trigger an ideal immune response without causing clinical symptoms. The process of vaccination using live attenuated vaccines mimics mild artificial infections of the body. After entering the human body, the vaccine has a certain fertility and has a lasting immune effect. Inactivated vaccines are "dead vaccines". They no longer have the ability to reproduce, but retain their immunogenicity. Attenuated vaccines have certain activity and pathogenicity, so they are not easy to preserve. Vaccination with live attenuated vaccines is not recommended for people with low immune function and pregnant women.
