About Saksham
Saksham is a mental health platform designed to make mental well-being simple and
accessible for everyone. Our mission is to help people care for their mental health in
a supportive way. We believe that mental health support should be easy to find, so
we’ve built Saksham to give users helpful tools, resources, reliable information, and
a safe community.
What makes Saksham unique is its gamified approach to mental health tracking.
With engaging, interactive features, our app encourages users to track their mood
and mental health while keeping it fun and rewarding. By turning mental health care
into a game-like experience, we make self-care feel enjoyable and something users
look forward to each day.
Through our app, users can track their mood and learn more about their mental well-
being. This lets them see patterns, notice the triggers, and develop healthier habits.
Saksham also offers many resources, like tips from experts, self-help guides, and
activities for managing stress, anxiety, and low moods. All of these are aimed at
helping users feel better and find ways to handle life’s challenges.
At Saksham, we know the value of a supportive community. Our platform connects
people, allowing them to share their stories and learn from each other. We create a
space where talking about mental health is normal and free from judgment, helping
users feel understood and supported.
Saksham offers content in Hindi and English, reaching people from urban, semi-
urban, and rural areas. We provide mental health tips for young adults, working
professionals, and anyone seeking support. Our resources, like short articles and
videos, help users navigate real-life situations and boost their mental well-being.
Through Saksham, we are here to help people take small steps toward better mental
health every day. Whether you want to learn, track your mood, or join a supportive
community, Saksham is here to guide you on your journey to feeling well and
balanced.
From the Author
Saksham means being capable enough to cope, physically and mentally as well. We
often tend to overlook how important it is to take care of our minds as well. Creating
Saksham was a personal journey for me, to bridge this gap in India.
As a psychiatrist, I’ve witnessed how mental health issues impact people across
different walks of life. Many people struggle in silence, feeling isolated or hesitant to
seek help due to stigma or lack of access to resources. Seeing this need inspired me
to create Saksham, a platform that could make mental health support accessible and
welcoming for everyone, no matter who they are and where they live.
Overtime, I met patients struggling silently, feeling isolated or unsure of where to turn
for help. It became clear that there was a need for a safe, welcoming space where
people could understand their mental health better, feel supported, and find reliable
resources.
I wanted to create a platform that would go beyond providing information. I wanted it
to actively engage people, offering practical ways to manage mental health in their
daily lives. This is why I decided to give it a gamified approach in Saksham, turning
the app into something interactive and enjoyable. I wanted people to feel excited
about tracking their well-being, not intimidated by it. By making it feel like a game,
my aim was to make mental health care feel accessible, engaging, and something
users would look forward to each day.
Launching Saksham was also about making mental health accessible for all. With
resources available in Hindi and English, I wanted to reach people from diverse
backgrounds, urban, semi-urban, and rural, who may not have easy access to
mental health resources. For me, Saksham is more than an app; it’s a movement to
make mental health support a natural part of everyday life, and a place where no one
has to feel alone on their journey.
My goal was to create an experience that motivates users to explore their emotions,
recognize patterns, and develop healthier habits in a fun and rewarding way.
I hope that Saksham becomes a safe space where users feel understood,
supported, and empowered to take small steps toward well-being each day. This
platform represents my commitment to making mental health care not only
accessible but also enjoyable and stigma-free.
