Avanair 200 Mg is a medication primarily used for the Treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Avanair 200 Mg contains avanafil, a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). By inhibiting PDE5, avanafil enhances the effects of nitric oxide released during sexual stimulation. This results in smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow to the corpus cavernosum of the penis, facilitating erections.

The recommended starting dose of Avanair 200 Mg is usually 100 mg, taken orally as needed approximately 15-30 minutes before sexual activity. Based on individual response and tolerability, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 200 mg or decreased to 50 mg. It should not be taken more than once daily.

Common side effects of Avanair 200 Mg may include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, back pain, and dizziness. These side effects are usually mild and transient. Serious but rare side effects may include prolonged erections (priapism), sudden vision or hearing loss, or allergic reactions. Immediate medical attention is necessary if any severe side effects occur.
