Michael Pangrac is a historical author and American history researcher. His work mainly involves reconsidering the Reconstruction era after the Civil War. In his book Southern Victory: A Reassessment of Reconstruction, Pangrac disputes the vintage stories through a major emphasis on recovery of the economy, rebuilding of the infrastructure, and political changes in the South after the Civil War.
