Description
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) is the official state board responsible for conducting school-level examinations in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Established in 1969 and headquartered in Dharamshala, the board governs over 8,000 affiliated schools and conducts exams for more than 500,000 students annually.

The Class 10 board exams were conducted from March 4 to March 22, 2025. This year, the overall pass percentage saw a sharp rise to 79.8%, reflecting improved academic support and performance.
The Class 12 exams faced a major shake-up when the English paper, initially scheduled for March 8, had to be rescheduled to March 29 due to security concerns. This was part of a broader push to enhance the fairness and transparency of the exam process.
