To apply for an MBBS course in India, candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:

NEET-UG is the only entrance exam for MBBS admissions in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is mandatory for all government, private, and deemed medical colleges.

The NEET syllabus is based on NCERT textbooks of Class 11 and 12, and includes:

Once a candidate qualifies NEET, the admission process begins. The admission is based on the NEET rank and involves centralized counseling.
Candidates must register online for the counseling process:
All India Quota (AIQ) Counseling: Conducted by MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) for 15% of seats in all government colleges and 100% seats in deemed universities, central universities, and ESIC colleges.
State Quota Counseling: Conducted by respective state authorities for 85% of seats in state government colleges and private institutions within the state.
Candidates have to fill their preferred colleges and lock the choices before the deadline.
Based on NEET rank, category, seat availability, and preferences, seats are allotted in various rounds.
Candidates must report to the allotted college with original documents and admission fees.
