Description
Becoming a pilot with golden epaulettes, typically referring to an airline captain or a senior officer in aviation, involves a series of key steps. First, you need to obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL) to gain fundamental flying experience. Then, pursue a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), which requires meeting medical, flight hours, and written exam requirements. Once you’ve accumulated sufficient experience, usually around 1,500 hours, you can apply to airlines. After being hired, you’ll start as a First Officer and, through continued experience and training, progress to Captain, earning the coveted golden epaulettes. This journey demands dedication, consistent learning, and passing multiple certifications and training programs.
